Merrill and Lois Evans

The years Merrill and Lois Evans spent at Wilmington College resulted in great memories that resonate to this day. Now enjoying their retirement in southern California, the couple appreciates the key role WC played in their lives. Merrill had a successful career in corporate management, and Lois enjoyed being part of the teaching profession.

A charitable remainder trust they established in the 1990s has offered them the "ideal situation" of a significant annual income and, when they are deceased, it will provide scholarships for Wilmington College students.

"We had a good experience at Wilmington College," Merrill said. "It feels good knowing the trust will help students of tomorrow realize their dreams for fulfilling lives."
